As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I have been accepted into Columbia's program.  As I also mentioned, Columbia was my school of choice.  Hence my decision to accept their offer.  There were some things, though, I had not considered!

One thing that I had not considered in the past and which Columbia's Admissions Director reminded me of today, was the courtesy to advise other schools that I would withdraw my application.  My own instinct was to gain experience from the other universities' interview processes and advise them of my decision afterwards.  This was based on my view to understand more about the American style of education and communication that differs significantly from Australia.

Nevertheless, each of the other schools expends significant amounts of resources, time and money to review applications and it is only fair to them, to withdraw applications once I have made my mind up.

As such, I've withdrawn my application to Sloan, before they've made their decision.

From now on, my blog will refocus on all the aspects of an international applicant going through the process of moving to New York and prepping for Columbia... I'm hoping it's easier than the applications process!
