Woohoo! All my applications are complete :) Over what has felt like a torturous several months, I have finally completed all applications. I've now submitted applications to MIT-Sloan, Columbia and NYU-Stern. Time to celebrate and bring out the bubbly. It is an unbelievable weight off your shoulders, when you finally submit your final application.
The next part is waiting... Waiting for a response... any response! All the business schools repeatedly state that they do not give any status updates, until the "notification date" and that you should not contact them prior to this. Being an international applicant, I can't really just show up at the school and ask, anyway. So now I have to wait for the required "10-12 weeks" that they typically require. I recall one person once saying to me that "if you know or are related to someone who works in the MBA office", you can ask them to find out. Once again, international applicants rarely have this luxury, so I'll wait and see. Having said that, I've read some blogs that indicate that responses can actually be faster (ie: about 8 weeks). I guess now I need to find a new focus in my life :) When an MBA application has been everything you breathed, ate and had nightmares of, it's a slow transition back to reality! |
